1.The CDC issued a directive stating that from May 11, 2021 to June 8, 2021 national disease prevention alert is now level two in response to a pathogen of unknown origin as well as community transmission within Taiwan. This states that “All places of business must temporarily close that cannot implement disease prevention measures such as maintaining social distancing, requiring patrons to wear facemasks for their entire visit, providing partitioning shields, implementing registration protocols, taking temperatures, providing hand sanitation, sanitizing facilities, enacting crowd control measures, limiting patron capacity and monitoring points of entry.”
2.All places of business within Taitung County must comply with disease prevention measures. Places of business that violate these measures will be fined NT $3000-5000 in accordance to Subparagraph 6, Paragraph 1, Article 37 of the Communicable Disease Control Act and Article 70 of the Communicable Disease Control Act.
3.Places of business that don’t comply with disease prevention measures after they have been fined will be forced to close.
